Garet Lynch named Outstanding Male Athlete of the Year
Senior leads Golden Eagle Football team to the ECAC Northwest Championship
Senior Garet Lynch (Valley Stream, NY/Springfield Gardens) was voted The College at Brockport 2008-09 Outstanding Male Athlete of the Year as voted on by the coaching and athletic administrative staff at the college. The award was presented at the annual Student-Athlete Celebration Saturday, May 10.
Lynch led the Brockport football team to a 7-4 overall record which culminated in a 70-68 victory over Hartwick College in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Northwest Bowl game. In the championship game, Lynch established several school records including seven touchdowns scored in a game and 429 yards gained in a single game.
