Courtney Turchan Earns All-ECAC Honors (06/19/2008)
Courtney Turchan is voted to the All-ECAC Team
Junior second baseman collects another post-season award
Junior Courtney Turchan (Smithtown, NY/Smithtown) has been voted to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Upstate New York All-Conference team as announced by the conference and voted on by the head coaches of the member institutions.
Turchan led the Golden Eagles in nearly all of the offensive categories finishing with a .448 batting average 52 hits, 32 runs, 16 doubles, 73 total bases, a .629 slugging average and nine stolen bases. Turchan earned First-Team All-Region honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), was voted the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player of the Year and was also an All-SUNYAC selection.
The 2008 Golden Eagles finished with a 24-14 overall record and a 15-7 mark in SUNYAC games. Turchan led the team to the... read more »
