Michele Cella Named Soccer's Most Outstanding Athlete (02/18/2008)
Jenna Landahl named Outstanding Scholar-Athlete
Michele Cella led the team with 15 goals and 32 points in 2007
Senior Michele Cella (Oakdale, NY/Connetquot) was named The College at Brockport Women’s Soccer Most Outstanding Athlete for the 2007 season. Senior Jenna Landahl (Alden, NY/Alden) was recognized as the Outstanding Scholar-Athlete award winner.
The 2007 campaign saw a school record for wins in a season when the Golden Eagles advanced to the ECAC Championship game. The team finished with a 17-4-1 record and placed five players on the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) All-Conference teams. The team started the 07 season by defeating Juniata College and Marietta College to win the Marietta Classic Tournament for the second consecutive season.
