Student Appreciation Week

The graduate assistants at the MetroCenter will hold a Student Appreciation Week from May 3rd to May 10th.

Look for the graduate assistants in the Grand Hallway or student lounge to receive your free MetroCenter shopping bag along with other give-aways.

MetroCenter Blood Drive

The SUNY Brockport MetroCenter held their first blood drive through the Red Cross on Saturday, April 5th. For more information on other blood drives call:

Welcome Back Event

The Welcome Back Event on Tuesday, February 12th was a huge success.

Students received give-aways and networked with peers.

Fall 2007

Welcome Back Event

The first event for the fall semester was a “Welcome Back Event.” This event gave the MetroCenter students an opportunity to network with their peers and meet graduate assistants Stephanie Metz and Ryan Harbin. The students were provided with the opportunity to enjoy food and give-aways, while networking with other students. MetroCenter faculty and staff were instrumental in encouraging students to partake in this event. It was also a platform for MetroCenter students to provide their input on the types of events they would like to see offered in the future.

PJ Round Up

The MetroCenter has joined forces with the Summit Credit Union and the Girls Scouts of Genessee Valley for the PJ Round Up. We collected donations of new warm pajamas, slippers, and robes for women and children living in homeless shelters, battered shelters, and traditional housing. The SUNY Brockport MetroCenter collected 16 pairs of PJ's, 2 sets of robes, and 5 pairs of slippers. Overall it was a great success! Thank you for all who donated!

Stress Relief Event

The graduate assistants at the MetroCenter capped off the fall semester with a “Stress Relief Workshop” on Tuesday, November 27 th in the Grand Hallway. The event showcased massage therapists and Reiki practitioners from the Greater Rochester area. Students received mini free massages, Reiki sessions, information on alternative healing practices, and give-aways.
