The Rose Archives contains the historical records of the College, dating back to its inception as a private "academy" in 1835. The materials held in the archives includes, but is not limited to:
- Annual reports
- Committee reports
- Faculty biographical information
- Minutes of meetings
- Student registers
Please Note: The college has always been a part of the surrounding society, sharing in the attitudes and practices of the day. The historical records may on occasion contain material that today would be considered offensive or inappropriate. You can find our complete statement on the matter here.
The Rose Archives is located in the basement of the Drake Memorial Library. Visitors are welcome to tour the archives, but it is preferred that you contact the archivist first. You can contact the college archivist—Charlie Cowling through email or phone at (585) 395-5667.
Donations of items related to the history of the College are welcome. Please contact the archives for more information on the process.
