Brockport Criminal Justice & Corrections Program Receives Major Recognitions

The College at Brockport was voted the best college for Criminal Justice majors in New York and the Criminal Justice & Corrections Program was recognized as a great value in 2019 rankings.

    The Criminal Justice Program

    We blend theory and practice. From policing and courts, to crime analysis and forensics. You'll have a strong foundation in a wide range of areas of criminal justice. Our graduates are prepared for leadership at local, state, and federal levels.

    Criminal Justice Honor Society

    Students majoring in criminal justice may be selected Alpha Phi Sigma, a nationally recognized criminal justice honor society. Students must obtain a 3.5 GPA in the major as well as cumulatively to be considered for nomination to Alpha Phi Sigma. Consideration of nominees occurs in February and notification of nominees is made in March.

    Study Abroad Opportunities

    Study Abroad with The College at Brockport to broaden your college experience. The Criminal Justice Department offers potential college credit for both the Waterford and Dublin experiences. Talk to your advisors for more information regarding the program. Our department works with the College and other agencies to provide a range of opportunities.
