What You’ll Learn
When you minor in Dance at Brockport you receive all of the same opportunities as those who major in dance. You will have access to all of the same facilities and learn from all of the same talented professors.

Curriculum
18 credits (out of 120) in dance and offers introductory study in dance technique, choreography, history and education. Up to 36 additional elective dance credits may be taken to meet graduation requirements. Students who take these additional elective credits may be interested in the dance major.
Curriculum & Learning Outcomes
Dance minors are interested in combining a minor in dance with a major in any number of other areas. Dance minor requirements can be completed during two academic years. -
Admission Requirements
Becoming a dance minor is a two-part process:
We host auditions in October, February, and April for freshmen and transfer students. You do not need to apply to the college before your audition. Undergraduate Admissions

Performance & Choreographic Opportunities Abound
You will have ample opportunities to dance and grow as a choreographer and performer.
Faculty and visiting artists give you the chance to perform in their repertory. Two student favorites include DANSCORE and Sankofa, the African Dance and Drum ensemble. -
Career Outlook
Our alumni are professional dancers, choreographers, teachers, physical therapists, dance writers, and arts administrators. Faculty help you identify your strengths and diverse interests. You will learn career skills while developing vibrant relationships with active professionals.
