Athletic Training Program Changes
Due to CAATE accreditation requirements, Brockport will be transitioning from a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training to a Master's Degree in Athletic Training. Brockport will not be accepting freshman as Athletic Training (AT) Intents after Fall 2018. However, we will be accepting transfer students as AT Intents for Spring and Fall 2019.
Even with the transition to the MS degree, Brockport is an outstanding option for undergraduate (UG) students (beginning with Fall 2019 freshman) wishing to pursue Athletic Training. The current Brockport UG majors in Exercise Science and Kinesiology provide excellent preparation for pursuing a MS degree in AT at Brockport. These majors will provide the student with the pre-requisite courses and experience to allow them to apply to the MS in AT program Brockport following completion of their UG degree.
