Overview

This document includes the known employment rate of alumni from SUNY Brockport’s educator preparation programs. Data are gathered using an alumni survey, and from publicly available employment databases and websites. Data are gathered one and a half to two years post-graduation. Data are aggregated by undergraduate initial-level programs (initial certification), graduate initial- level (initial certification) programs, and advanced (professional certification) graduate level programs. Please note that we have only included alumni whose employment information we were able to locate. Alumni with unknown employment information are omitted from the data. Only alumni that are employed in positions that their degree prepared them for are considered employed for this report.

Results

In 2019-2020, 147 undergraduate students graduated from initial-level educator preparation programs. Brockport located the employment information of 50 graduates. 42 (84%) of the alumni are employed in a position relevant to their degree. As a benchmark, another local 4-year institution reported an 88% employment rate for undergraduate alumni at the initial-level.

In 2019-2020, 18 graduate students graduated from initial-level educator preparation programs. Brockport located the employment information of 2 graduates. 2 (100%) of the alumni are employed in a position relevant to their degree. As a benchmark, another local 4-year institution reported a 93% employment rate for graduate alumni at the initial-level.

In 2019-2020, 254 students graduated from advanced-level (professional certification) educator preparation programs. Brockport located the employment information of 63 graduates. All 63 (100%) of the alumni are employed in a position relevant to their degree. As a benchmark, another local 4-year institution also reported a 100% employment rate at the advanced-level.
