Overview

This page includes the known employment rate of alumni from SUNY Brockport’s educator preparation programs. Data are gathered using an alumni survey, and from publicly available employment databases and websites. Data are gathered 6 to 12 months post-graduation. Data are aggregated by initial-level programs (initial certification), and advanced-level (professional certification) programs. Please note that we have only included alumni whose employment information we were able to locate. Alumni with unknown employment information are omitted from the data. 

Results

In 2020-2021, 191 students graduated from initial-level educator preparation programs. Brockport located the employment information of 34 graduates. 29 (85%) of the alumni are employed in a position relevant to their degree. For comparison, another local 4-year institution reported an 88% employment rate for undergraduate alumni at the initial-level.

In 2020-2021, 202 students graduated from advanced-level (professional certification) educator preparation programs. Brockport located the employment information of 53 graduates. 44 (83%) graduates are employed in the position that their professional licensure was designed to achieve. 51 (96%) graduates are employed in the education field. For comparison, another local 4-year institution reported a 100% employment rate in the education field for alumni at the advanced-level.
