The School of Business & Management is excited to announce the newly revised Business Minor and Marketing Minor. The Business Minor provides students with a good overview of key principles and methods in economics, accounting, marketing, finance, and management. The Marketing Minor is created for students in any major who wish to develop marketing skills and knowledge. Students who have completed 15 undergraduate credits at Brockport with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher are all welcome to apply. Please refer to AY19-20 catalogue for program details. The School of Business & Management is hosting the Seventh Annual Pettis Family Business
Plan Competition. The written round submission deadline is February 16, 2020. Please
register your team and submit a 2-page executive summary of your business proposal

Teams passing the screening round will be invited to present your business proposals on the 2020 Scholar's Day scheduled on April 8, 2020. Your presentation will be evaluated by a group of internal and external business experts. The winning student team(s) will be awarded a cash prize of $2,000.
All presenting teams will also be invited to participate in the Finger Lake Region-New York State Business Plan Contest in the evening of April 15, 2020. Teams winning the regional competition will have a chance to participate in the statewide contest in Albany to win more than $100,000 in cash and prizes. Public Administration accreditation is through the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA), which is the recognized global accreditor of master’s degree programs in the fields of public policy, public affairs, public administration, and public & nonprofit management. NASPAA's twofold mission is to ensure excellence in education and training for public service and to promote the ideal of public service. The School has obtained the accreditation through 2026.
