Stupid F@%#ing Bird by Aaron Posner
Sort of adapted from The Seagull by Anton Chekhov
“the most authentic, self-aware, playful… world-wise adaptation of Chekhov” – LA Weekly
What’s with the fowl language? Posner has written a modernist take on a classic play: If you know The Seagull, great. If you don’t, that’s fine, too. Either way, you’ll appreciate the family, friends, and lovers taking on life’s age-old contradictions: Old vs. New. Old vs. Young. Truth vs. Fiction. Show-biz vs. Reality. Parents vs. Children. Life vs. Death. And, of course, all-caps LOVE. All the while learning about LIFE, how to remain connected, and the passage of time.

Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare
“If music be the food of love, play on.”
A shipwreck. Cross-dressing deception. Fools. Siblings. A duke, a lady, their servants, and the misguided complications in which they are ensnared. These are just some of the ingredients that have made Twelfth Night one of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies. At its heart, it’s about love—of course—but also about female empowerment, and a whole slew of other things that still resonate today.

Crimes of the Heart by Beth Henley
“an evening of antic laughter…” – The New York Times
You don’t need much more than three sisters, a kitchen, and some outlandish actions (such
as making a pitcher of lemonade immediately after shooting your husband) to populate a good ol’ Southern Gothic tragicomedy. Yet playwright Henley has included some truly heart-wrenching backstories in her Pulitzer Prize-winning play, all of which allow audiences to fall in love with the Magrath sisters of Hazlehurst, MS.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
Music and Lyrics by William Finn
Book by Rachel Sheinkin
Conceived by Rebecca Feldman
Additional Material by Jay Reiss
“Can you spell irresistible?... entirely adorable” – The New York Times
In The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, six awkward spelling champions learn that winning (and losing) isn't everything. A gut-bustingly funny musical comedy turned somewhat askew, Spelling Bee offers a rollicking ride as some very smart misfits—and audience members, too!—try to spell their way to championship. The spellers let us see what makes their minds tick, while candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their young lives.
