Summer Orientation Programs

Welcome, New Students!

Now that you have chosen The College at Brockport, an orientation is in order! Brockport's orientation programs provide new students and their families the opportunity to acclimate to the campus, become acquainted with faculty and staff, and meet other students.

Orientation Options

New students have a number of orientation options. Orientation for first-year students is offered over the summer in six sessions to select from. New transfer students have a variety of transfer student orientation experiences ranging from online to in-person. There are also orientation sessions designed specifically for Arthur O. Eve Educational Opportunity Program students as well as International students.

All new students are required to attend Orientation. During orientation, students are familiarized with various campus resources and departments considered essential to their success while attending The College at Brockport. Getting off to a great start at Brockport is much easier when students know where to go, how to get there, where to study, and who to ask for help. All of these things happen at Orientation. If you are unable to attend the summer orientation, there is a one-day fall program that you will be required to attend. It is not as detailed as the two day summer program but will still give you the necessary information.

Students in the Arthur O. Eve Opportunity for Higher Education Program attend a separate program over the summer.
