Dear Brockport Community:
We know that many of you have questions about COVID-19. We are getting large volumes of emails and calls into every major office on campus. It is simply not possible to respond to them individually at this time. It is for that reason that we have developed an FAQ site here.
We are adding answers to the FAQ site continually, and we ask you to check back frequently, because your questions may well already be answered there.
We are part of the larger SUNY system, and SUNY is working collaboratively on solving and answering concerns. I have been in constant communication with SUNY and other college presidents. We activated the Emergency Operations Center several days ago, and we have been working around the clock to support our campus community.
We know that right now, there are many questions about spring break, face-to-face classes, and whether to hold events. We are actively planning around these issues and following guidance from SUNY and Monroe County Health. At this time, there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Monroe County.
We expect that SUNY is going to be releasing information about spring break travel, face-to-face classes, and other information soon, and I ask for your patience during this time. I will provide an update to you later today. I understand and share your frustration, and we are working diligently to get the answers we need.
