Computing Sciences Students develop IT solution to assist local Non-Profit

Under the supervision of Dr. Mehruz Kamal, Alex Campomizzi and Kyle Grimm, CIS seniors, developed a website to assist BEST Foundation this Spring. Grant applications & donations can now be accepted online, furthering the organization's mission.

Building Excellence in Students Today (BEST), Brockport Education Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides resources to support students academically, provide classroom grants, and offer program enrichment.

Prior to the new website, grant applications had to be submitted through paper forms. This created administrative inefficiencies and processing delays. With the newly developed website, applications can now be submitted online - significantly speeding up processing time. In addition, the site gives the ability to now accept secure donations.

Most importantly, through this new site, the foundation will now be more visible and able to attract more donors and thereby assist larger numbers of young students pursue opportunities and experiences that would otherwise may not have been possible.
