Going Green with Reserved Parking Spaces
The campus offers reserved parking spaces to employees and commuter students driving low emitting, fuel-efficient vehicles.
The College at Brockport is committed to sustainability, making it a fundamental part of the culture. From classrooms to common rooms, lecture halls, and residence halls, hard work has been done to ensure that the campus is a leader of practicing good stewardship.
In support of these goals, Parking and Transportation Services have introduced a reserved parking space initiative to encourage the use of more fuel-efficient vehicles on campus, to support more environmentally sound practices.
For our reserved parking spaces on campus, vehicles must have achieved a minimum green score of 40 or higher according to the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE). A rating guide can be found on the link below which lists what vehicles meet the established criteria.
These reserved parking spaces can be found in lots Q, P, W, S, and T. As always, a permit is needed to park on campus, but a separate permit is not required to park in these reserved spaces. Employees can utilize LEFE spaces in lots P, Q, S, and T. Commuters can utilize LEFE spaces in lots P, T, and W. It is the responsibility of the driver to verify that the vehicle meets the established criteria as a low emitting, fuel-efficient vehicle. Those who do not meet the criteria and park in these spaces may be ticketed.
