Celebrate Constitution Day with a Series of Panels and a Naturalization Ceremony

The Office of Community Development and the American Democracy Project are hosting a full day of events on Tuesday, September 17, to celebrate the constitution and citizenship, including hosting our annual Naturalization Ceremony!

Celebrate Constitution Day with us with a series of panels and the Naturalization Ceremony. Please encourage students to attend, as well.

Preliminary panels are listed below with more speakers continuing to be scheduled:

The Constitution and Political Parties (11 am – 12:15 pm in the Seymour College Union room 119)

Michael Read: Political Director, Monroe County Democratic Committee

Larry Sharpe: 2018 Libertarian Candidate for NYS Governor

Securing the Blessings of Liberty: The Constitution and Civil Liberties *Lunch Included (12:30 – 1:45 pm in the Seymour College Union room 119)

Iman Abid: Director, Genesee Valley Chapter of New York Civil Liberties Union

Daniel Kuhn: Attorney & Department of Criminal Justice – The College at Brockport

Dr. Allison Rank: Political Science Department – SUNY Oswego

Naturalization Ceremony (2 – 3:15 pm in the Seymour College Union Ballroom)
