The College is not closed on Friday, July 3. If you take that day off, you must use your accruals.
The following offices will be closed on July 3:
Office of Environmental Health and Safety
Office of Facilities Physical Plant – Only some units:
- Central Stores
- Facilities Service Center (however, the 2408 emergency number will remain covered)
Office of Facilities Planning and Construction
Office of Finance and Management – some units:
- Finance and Management
- Mailroom and Central Receiving
- Print Shop
- Research Foundation Post-Award
Office of Human Resources
Office of Information Technology Services (however, the Help Desk will remain available to reach others, as needed)
Office of the President
All offices not listed above will be open and reachable.

Important Payroll Information: July 4, 2020, Holiday Observance
Independence Day will be observed on Saturday, July 4, 2020.
Independence Day falls on Saturday, July 4, 2020. The State will not be designating another day to be observed as the holiday.
The guidelines for the holiday are as follows:
UUP and M/C Professional employees who are entitled to observe holidays, and for whom Saturday, July 4, is a regular day off, will be credited with compensatory time off in lieu of the holiday.
CSEA, PEF, NYSCOPBA, PBANYS bargaining units and those who are Classified M/C-
Full-time employees who are entitled to observe holidays, and for whom Saturday, July 4, is a regular day off, will be credited with compensatory time off in lieu of the holiday. Police and Security will accrue an additional day of vacation.
Part-time Classified employees who are eligible to observe holidays are entitled to observe only those holidays that fall on days when they are regularly scheduled to work or actually do work. However, eligible part-time employees in the Administrative Services, and Operational Services Units, and those designated Managerial/Confidential, who are regularly scheduled to work at least half-time, and who do not work on Saturday, July 4, but who are regularly scheduled to work on Friday, July 3, will be credited with holiday leave equivalent to the number of hours in the employee’s regular Friday schedule not to exceed 7 ½ or 8 hours.
