Building Closures and Mail Service Beginning November 21

Many buildings will be locked as the campus works to reduce density due to COVID-19; mail service will move to a drive-thru, contactless service.

SUNY Brockport will be greatly reducing its campus density beginning November 21 to help combat the spread of COVID-19. For the remainder of the fall semester, only essential personnel and those faculty who require access to campus facilities in order to instruct their courses are permitted on campus.

To protect the safety of our community, the vast majority of buildings will be locked. If you need access to a locked building, please contact University Police and be prepared to show your SUNY Brockport ID. The heat will be reduced in locked buildings (other than Smith/Lennon due to research activities) in order to conserve resources.

At the conclusion of the fall semester, only essential personnel will be permitted on campus until January 11. Should others require access to campus for a short period, they should contact their supervisor.

The following buildings will be open during the times listed:

• Rakov (8 am–4 pm)

• Hazen (8 am–4 pm)

• Allen (8 am–4 pm)

• Cooper (6:30 am–5:30 pm)

• Lathrop – University Police area (24 hours)

• Commissary and Chapman (8 am–4 pm)

• Seymour College Union – Bookstore Entrance Only (December 14–December 17, 9 am–2 pm)

• Drake Memorial Library (8 am–4 pm)

Mail Services: While the mailroom will be open, mail delivery to individual buildings will be suspended until January 11. The mailroom will be providing curbside, contactless mail pick-up in the Allen loop from 8 am–3 pm Monday through Friday, except for the campus shutdown. Mail service will be available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 am–3 pm during the shutdown. Individuals should call the mailroom at (585) 395-2402 to arrange pick-up. Mail Services personnel will meet individuals at their vehicles. Please pop your trunk or hatch and personnel will place your mail inside.
