Faculty Publishes Article on Athletes in Young Adult Literature
Kathleen Colantonio-Yurko, Kathy Olmstead, and Cody Miller published an article analyzing athlete identity in young adult literature.

Faculty members from the Department of Education and Human Development Cody Miller (Assistant Professor), Kathleen Colantonio-Yurko (Assistant Professor), and Kathy Olmstead (Assistant Professor), along with University of Florida doctoral student Shelby Boehm published an article in Study and Scrutiny: Research on Young Adult Literature.
Their article, "Athlete as Agitator, Assaulter, and Armor: Sports, Identity, and Sexual Assault in Young Adult Literature" addresses how athletes in young adult literature use their identities and positions in schools and society to be shielded from consequences and avoid accountability.
