Laurie Matthews (she/her/hers)
Laurie Matthews is a student in the College Counseling program in the Department of Counselor Education.. She lives in Rochester with her husband and two of her six children. She is a substitute teacher with the Rochester City School District and practices cosmetology part time. Laurie graduated from Roberts Weslyan College with a BS in Organizational Management and earned a certificate in Theology from Northeastern Seminary. Laurie is passionate about people and has a strong desire to see them emotionally whole. She lives out that passion through her work and volunteerism. Laurie worked as a Life Coach at several agencies, she serves in ministry as an ordained Minister at her church, and she is often involved in community outreach to aid youth and young adults. Laurie enjoys learning different techniques for her self-care as well as spending time with her children and grandchildren.
