  • Winners Announced for The Ryan Giglia Spirit Awards

Only one "Most Spirited Student," one "Most Spirited Alum," one "Most Spirited Faculty/Staff," and one "Most Likely To Go TikTok Viral" will earn the crown in honor of Ryan Giglia. Follow along on Brockport Instagram (@brockport) to watch and take part in the competition September 22-30. On the Friday of Spirit Week, the four campus community members who reign supreme will be announced.

During his time at SUNY Brockport, Assistant Director of Student Union and Activities Ryan Giglia ’95/’99 was not just a beacon of school spirit — he was THE beacon of school spirit. As he transitioned from Brockport student, to alum, to employee, Ryan continually defined what it means to be a Golden Eagle through his spirit, strength, and success, inspiring everyone around him to do the same.

The Ryan Giglia Spirit Awards recognize Brockport’s most spirited student, alum, and faculty or staff member, to keep Ryan’s memory — and his impact on the Brockport community — alive.
