Cultural Nights, Study Abroad Presentations, Salsa Dancing, Film Series, & Local Authentic Restaurants.

Creative Artists
Encouraged to Apply:
Students who enjoy the arts (drawing, dance, theatre, music, creative writing, etc.) If you have a major in a creative discipline, you are encouraged to apply, but students from all majors are welcome.
Activities and Field Trips Include:
Open Mic Nights, Talent Shows, Creative Writing Workshops, Scrapbooking, Photo Contests, Trips to Music & Theatre Productions, Memorial Art Gallery

Future Health Professionals
Encouraged to Apply:
Students planning to pursue a health related discipline. Some of these areas may include: pre-medical studies (dental, medical, physical therapy, veterinary, physician's assistant, etc.), medical technology, health science, exercise physiology, kinesiology, etc.
Activities and Field Trips include:
Panels of students in health-related majors, In-hall tutoring, Trips to local hospitals and health care centers

Green House
Encouraged to Apply:
Students who are interested in sustainable efforts. Students majoring in environmental science are highly encouraged to apply, but you do not have to be a science major to join this community.
Activities and Field Trips Include:
Hamlin Beach & Erie Canal Cleanups, exploring sustainable approaches on campus, The Strasenburgh Planetarium at The Rochester Museum & Science Center

Leadership & Community Service
Encouraged to Apply:
Students who enjoy being involved in the community and are interested in developing their leadership skills.
Activities and Field Trips Include:
Hamlin Beach & Erie Canal Cleanups, Habitat for Humanity, Sisters of St. Joseph of Rochester, Mary's Place Outreach, Rochester City School District, Brockport Food Shelf

Recreation & Fitness
Encouraged to Apply:
Students who are committed to a healthy lifestyle. Student Athletes, students pursuing careers in Recreation and Leisure Studies, Physical Education, Athletic Training, Coaching or Sport Management are encouraged to apply.
Activities and Field Trips Include:
Tandem Bike rides on the Erie Canal, High Ropes Course, Rochester Amerk's Hockey Games

Teachers of Tomorrow
Encouraged to Apply:
Students who are interested in pursuing a career in Education. This Community will help prepare students from all majors prepare to apply for the Education Program for Teacher Certification.
Activities and Field Trips include:
Resume building, Faculty presentations on applying to The Education Program, Career exploration, Trips to The Strong National Museum of Play

Honors House
Encouraged to Apply:
Any student accepted in The College at Brockport Honors College. Honors College. Students may live in The Honors House LLC or they may choose another first year LLC. However, Honors College students must live in a first year LLC.
Activities and Field Trips include:
Community service opportunities, Scholars Day Presentations, In-hall Tutoring

Academic Exploration
Encouraged to Apply:
Students who are undecided on their major, and/or what career path they may choose.
Activities and Field Trips include:
StrengthsQuest Inventory, Presentations by Career Services & Academic Advisement, Team-Building Centers (rock climbing, laser tag, etc.)

Nursing Intent
Encouraged to Apply:
Students who are Declared Nursing Intent and who are planning to pursue a career as a Nurse.
Activities and Field Trips include:
Student Panels from current Nursing Students & Alumni, Collaboration with the Student Nursing Organization (S.N.O.), Visits to local hospitals and Health Care Centers

Mathematics & Physical Sciences
Encouraged to Apply:
Students interested in and majoring in Mathematics, Physics, Astronomy, Chemistry, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Earth Science, Meteorology, Water Resources and Geology.
Activities and Field Trips include:
Live Science Demonstrations, Research Presentations, Visiting The Strasenburgh Planetarium at The Rochester Museum & Science Center, Visiting Niagara Falls

Biological Sciences & Psychology
Encouraged to Apply:
Biochemistry, Psychology, Biology, Environmental Science, pre-medical studies (dental, medical, veterinary, physician’s assistant, pharmacy, etc.), & medical technology majors

Yellow Ribbon
Encouraged to Apply:
Students who are veterans of the United States Military and/or are family members of a serviceperson currently active. Students enrolled in an ROTC are also encouraged to apply.
Activities and Field Trips include:
Resume building, Community service opportunities, Transitional support, Tutoring, Local veterans events, Adventure challenges (high ropes course, laser tag, etc.)

Law & Civility
Encouraged to Apply:
Criminal Justice, Political Science/International Studies and Social Work majors.
Activities and Field Trips include:
Visiting Municiple Buildings, Police Stations, Law Schools and local Court Houses, Discussions about Current Issues

Perspectives on Humanity
Encouraged to Apply:
Anthropology, English, History, Modern Languages and Cultures, Philosophy, Political Science/International Studies, Sociology and Women and Gender Studies majors.
Activities and Field Trips include:
Memorial Art Gallery, Discussions about Current Issues, Community Service, Exploring Careers in the Social Sciences

Delta College
Encouraged to Apply:
Any student accepted in The College at Brockport Delta College. Delta College students may live in The Delta College LLC or they may choose another first year LLC.
Activities and Field Trips include:
