Introducing the Brockport Family Holiday Cookbook

Help us celebrate our diversity by sharing recipes of your favorite culinary traditions.

The holidays mean something different to everyone. The SUNY Brockport family — students, faculty, staff, alumni, and emeriti — celebrate a multitude of different holidays in myriad ways. But a common way of celebrating these special days is with a special meal, often through recipes handed down through the generations.

SUNY Brockport would like to honor and celebrate these diverse traditions by collecting our community’s favorite holiday recipes and sharing them through an online cookbook. While its initial focus will be on the holidays of this season — Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa — the effort will continue throughout 2021. Should there be sufficient interest, the compilation could lead to a printed book in advance of next year’s holiday season.

The Brockport Family Holiday Cookbook will launch during the week of December 14. Look for more information in the Daily Eagle (for faculty and staff), on Brockport’s social media channels, and in emails from the Office of Alumni Engagement.

Help get the cookbook started by sharing a recipe before December 12.
