Time-Honored Tradition, New Rendition
See scenes from last month's Bport Homecoming & Family Weekend.
Homecoming at SUNY Brockport has deep roots. This year, a revamped version of the 71-year staple featured longstanding traditions and several new additions. Renamed Bport Homecoming & Family Weekend, the occasion brought more than 4,400 students and their families, alumni, faculty, staff, and community members to campus. For the first time, Brockport Student Government hosted a Homecoming Festival open to the entire community, featuring food trucks, carnival games, and a Ferris wheel; green lightbulbs installed in front of homes and businesses made the Village of Brockport "Glow Green"; and the annual homecoming parade, held on campus in recent years, weaved its way through the Village down Main, College, and Utica Streets before concluding at Hartwell Hall.
