Faculty Mini Grant

The Undergraduate Faculty Mini-Grant (UFMG) is a competitive, merit-based award supporting faculty with research and creative activities during the academic year. The UFMG Award provides up to $600 in support for faculty research which incorporates an explanation of demonstrated student involvement. The award is designed to help defray the cost of travel, supplies, and other materials necessary to conduct the project. It is not intended as salary for the student. Preference is given to projects involving student-faculty collaborations.

Student Research Mini Grant

Student Research Mini-Grant (SRMG) is a competitive, merit-based award which supports undergraduate students, who are enrolled in a matriculated program at The College at Brockport, in performing faculty-mentored research and creative activities during the academic year. The SRMG Award provides up to $400 for scholarly research or creative activity directly associated with a research project. Up to $600 may be requested for single projects involving two or more students. The award is designed to help defray the cost of travel, supplies, and other materials necessary to conduct the project. It is not intended as salary for the student.

Faculty/Student Apprenticeship Grant

The Student Apprenticeship Mini-Grant (SAMG) is a competitive, merit-based award which supports undergraduate students in assisting a faculty mentor with research and creative activities during the academic year. The award's purpose is to introduce students to scholarly and professional activity in their discipline. Freshman, sophomore, and transfer students are prioritized. Students must be enrolled in a matriculated program at The College at Brockport. The SAMG Award provides an hourly wage of up to 5 hours per week for scholarly or creative assistance directly associated with faculty scholarship (to a maximum of $1000). The award is designed to encourage student participation in scholarly activity, and a broad range of activity will be supported. This award functions as an hourly wage for an undergraduate student.
