Summer Health Coverage for Part Time Adjuncts and Graduate/Teaching Assistants

Summer health coverage payments are taken in additional deductions from Spring paychecks or directly billed by EBD based on salary.

Part-time Adjuncts

Academic Employees are entitled to either 13 or 26 payroll periods of full health coverage at the employee share of health cost.

  • Employees who work one semester during the academic year receive 13 payroll periods of coverage, employees who work both semesters have a 26 payroll period entitlement.
  • The 13 or 26 pay period entitlement begins from the effective date of your coverage. 

Graduate and Teaching Assistants

  • Graduate and Teaching Assistants have summer coverage available to them providing they expect to return to the payroll in the Fall of the following academic year.
